How to reach us?
You can fly directly into Livingstone, it has an international airport, otherwise you can fly to Lusaka, the capital of Zambia, and come with Bus to Livingstone. Livingstone city is a enjoyable spot at day and night. We can arrange to meet you in Livingstone if required.
What about accomodation?
We offer an accommodation on the school premises. The accomodation is a large 3 person tent with a standard double sized mattress or a large 2 person tent with a single mattress. The accommodation is free and the volunteers will have the basic necessities i.e toilet, shower, 3 meals a day and you can also do laundry.
Working time / Free time
School starts at 7 until 12 am. After lunch there is afternoon program until 4. Saturday and Sunday is holiday. You can use this days for a trip in the city, going for Safari or just hang around and meet local people. If you sleep outside you don't pay for accomodation.
In best case you are a teacher or you want to become one. You can improve your skills and likewise our teachers they are happy to learn from you. We have up to 250 students at the moment and 13teachers. One single class has 20 - 40 children. So you can assist our teachers or we split and you can teach your own class. We will also appreciate your own ideas.
The school development has exponentially to Grade 7 (seven) intake. We appreciate the donor and volunteer involvement for this could not have been realised without your commitment and genuflecious regard to development of children.
The Volunteer schedule is open and flexible relative to the expertise and inherent wish of the volunteer.
